StackSides is built to work without accounts. You can vote without sharing your name, email, company, or social profile.

To keep one vote per duel, we place an anonymous browser cookie. Before anything is stored, that identifier is hashed with a server-side secret.

If you answer the quick follow-up taps, we store only those aggregate signals: whether you used the tools, your angle, and your main stack. They help make results more useful by segment.

We do not use votes to create public personal profiles. Results are shown in aggregate and represent participants, not the whole tech industry.

For abuse prevention, hosting providers or CDN services may temporarily process technical request data such as IP addresses. StackSides does not store IP addresses in its application database.
